Hong Kong based Production Company, CHINESE SHADOWS, and International Sales Boutique Company, ASIAN SHADOWS, develop, represent and sell worldwide Asian films by Asian directors-about Asia.

 

Their selection includes auteurs’ visions as well as director-driven stories by veteran helmers and new talents’ voices; original, observational, creative, conceptual, cinematic works, questioning reality while focusing on political, social, historical, cultural, anthropological, and women issues.
 

In their Sales & Festivals' line-up are included films and talents from all over Asia, among which films from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, by Asian Masters such as Wayne WANG, WANG Xiaoshuai, WANG Bing, SODA Kazuhiro or Garin NUGROHO, as well as by first-time talents, including Sri-Lankan director Suba SIVAKUMARAN or Bhutanese director Tashi GYELTSHEN. All of them have been selected in International film festivals including Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Toronto.

Their aim is to promote Asian independent cinema to the global stage and to the attention of the International audience, market and industry, working on various aspects of the film including creative production, festival strategy, and international distribution.
